Stop doing Scrum; start being agile!

Sound familiar? "We implemented Scrum at our company, but agile didn't work for us." While agile has become a mainstream idea, there are still too many people who aren't getting the benefits they expected. If you are one of those people, this is an experience talk that will help you see agile in a new light. Unlike other agile talks, this isn't about convincing you to try a specific new methodology, technique, or practice. I provide a framework for making sense of all the options so your team and organization can adopt the right practices and adapt them to your team's context. From this talk you can learn: * How the history of agile reveals there is more to agile than changing your terms and going to Scrum meetings. * To frame both costs and benefits of different "stages" of agile to better set expectations for teams and management. * To learn from failures so you can start succeeding. At the end of this session, you’ll have ideas, tips, and tricks for enjoying and benefitting from agile more. Spoiler: Don't let the title fool you. I love Scrum. It is popular for good reason. But there's so much more I want people to love about agile.
