Scaling Engagement Agility

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Agile speaks of putting people first. In my experience, however, people are the poor stepchild to process and tools. It’s not about getting scrum teams “more agile” it’s about shaping the organization's culture to support agile development. To achieve this end goal, we must create the right culture. How do we engage and motivate our staff to support an agile workforce? How do we hire the right people? What is a manager's role in this new self-organized culture? How do we meaningfully connect the team with the customer? How do we maintain the magic of a startup that scales across a large organization? We ask a lot of questions, but often, we haven’t found the answers. In this highly practical session, these and other questions, will be answered, arming you with the knowledge and tools to keep people first. Learn how to build a culture to support scaling organizational agility. You’ll be given actionable ideas to keep the team passionate and purposeful. You’ll gain insights on building an environment that favors learning paths over traditional career paths. This approach will enable you to realize concrete benefits like reduced negative turnover, improved talent acquisition, and the ability to adapt to organizational change by redefining today’s talents for tomorrow’s needs. Learning Outcomes: • The importance of keeping employee engagement (people) front and center - Internal job fairs, interactive game on-boarding, and a more humane way of doing performance reviews. • Transitioning from Manager to Leader - Establishing a relationship by frequent interactions. Developing a learning path. • Learn: • How to utilize lean coffees, Communities Of Practices to promote cross team collaboration and learning, Why and when to use each method. • How to build agile cross-functional collaboration in Scrum environments • How to build a culture of learning and experimentation • How to drive innovative efforts in your startup, high-growth company or enterprise • How to leverage customers connections
