Agile didn't invent high performing teams - they've been around for thousands of years. Yet organizations tend to spend a great deal of time and focus on implementing the mechanics of Agile and very little time thinking about what makes groups of human beings accomplish amazing things together - yes even at scale. Come and explore team agility through the lens of algorithmic vs. heuristic work, team-based problem solving, and small world human networks. Together we'll examine the intrinsic phenomena of collective cognition and cohesion and how different structures promote or impede them.
