In a World Without Roles...

As teams continuously improve and evolve their agile maturity, productivity increases become harder and harder to find. Many teams look to increase their size to increase productivity. It is expensive, time consuming and disruptive to add people to a performing team. The question we must ask is, "Are we, as a team, as productive as possible, as we are today?" If you have roles such as developer, business analyst, scrum master, quality assurance, build engineer, etc. on your team then this session is for you. This session will use lessons learned from my past efforts to eliminate roles on teams and from the recent DevOps trend to show how you can eliminate the roles on your team, reducing waste and improving productivity. Warning: Many of these techniques are cutting edge, controversial and beyond traditional agile thinking. This session challenges the traditional "corporate mores" of job and technology specialization.
